First day to Kerala

It was 7.50am, we left the home to get our train Netravati express which was boarding from Lokmany Tarminals at 11.40 am which is well know as kurla Terminals. Our actual journey towards Kerala started there. Before watching train we thought that our train would be quite clean and neat but later on we came to know that train was not even up to the mark. It was seems that train got clean only in rainy season. I think government should look in to it if they have time but I must say train was on time and it left the station sharp given time. After few hours my excitement turns in to boring journey which I never used to. It was 32 hours journey from Mumbai (Kurla – Lokmanya Terminal’s) to Kerala (Trivandrum central). every now and than we were thinking that when we would reach to our destination which was Trivandrum last stop of Netravati express. As I said it was one and half day journey so i spent my most of the time in train by sleeping cause I had no other option that time. The best part in train journey i enjoyed that was watching moving trees from the window. I saw lakes, rivers, rise farm and sun set. It was real and natural. One more thing that I would like to say that i saw many tunnels during journey.

Initially when train was started, there was a lot of things for us to had, offered by railway guys like tea, coffee, snacks and vadapav. I would like to tell you that Chiplun was the last station where we had Vadapav cause later on next day we entered the south part of India where we got south Indian foods only. Our lunch and dinner was quite good in train. First days lunch we brought it from home which was Veg. Pulav that was awesome.

Next day in morning when I wake up around 8am. I found one pantry guy selling break fast which was nothing but Pazhampori made up of banana. Its very popular in Southside made by deep frying of whole banana in a thin batter of refined wheat flour or maida. Here i want to tell you that if you don’t have proper Pazhampori than you will not able to get the test of banana but you feel the test of Oil that’s for sure. In afternoon we reached one junction called Kozhikode where I had lunch by having Medu vada and idali. It was quite good compare to Mumbai.

At last we reached our destination and final stop of Netravati express which is Trivandrum central as i said earlier. We called our tour operator to sent one person from hotel to pick us where we were going to stay in Trivandrum. After hours of waiting that hotel guy  came and brought us Prashant hotel which was 20 min. away from station. Hotel was more than our expectation cause we were damn board in that journey. I must say that Hotel Prashant is good hotel to stay. They treat their host with very polite and pleasantly. If i ever went to Trivandrum again, I definitely would like to stay there.

We had our dinner by eating both veg. and non veg. Food was simply awesome kind of Kerala tradition. Than we went to sleep so early cause of two things, firstly that we were badly tired and secondly on the next very day early morning we had to start our actual journey in Kerala.

Finally the day came, It was 7.45am in morning. Our tour guide and driver one and only one person whose name was Vishnu came and picked us from the hotel to start the amazing experience of Kerala. He took us to National park – Trivandrum Zoo. After that we went to many places namely Kollam Junction, Thiruvananthapuram Zoo, Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Kovalam beach, Kerala Back water Boating,

You can see My first day images in my very next post, the places where i went on first day in Kerala.
